 about

Independent Publishing for Independent Thinkers

Wayfarer Books was founded on the belief that literature should be wild, fearless, and untethered from the mainstream. We publish poetry and nonfiction that challenges, disrupts, and reimagines—a home for seekers, rebels, and truth-tellers.

More than a press, Wayfarer is a movement—dedicated to voices that demand to be heard, to work that reshapes landscapes and refuses erasure. Words are a force of nature, carving their own course like rivers through stone.

We are Wayfarer Books.

This is where the journey begins.

Wayfarer Magazine

Wayfarer Magazine believes that poetry is the language of the earth—a force as wild as rivers carving through stone. We publish writing that is raw, rebellious, and untamed. If your work stands at the edges of the mainstream, whispering its truth to the wind, we want to hear it.

    A DIFFERENT PATH TO PUBLISHING

Some books don’t fit the mainstream—they demand their own path. Outpost Press is a publishing home for independent authors who believe in their work but don’t want to go it alone. A hybrid model publishing house created by Wayfarer Books, we partner with writers to publish books with expert editorial, design, and marketing support—while preserving the author’s creative control.

    CONNECt

    with Wayfarer Books

We believe in the power of words to shape the world—but in an era of digital noise, meaningful connection matters more than ever. While we’re on social media, we invite you to follow our work beyond the algorithm.

Wayfarer Books presently has offices in Abiquiu, New Mexico as well as Durango, Colorado. Wayfarer Books recognizes that our publishing house is situated on the ancestral lands of the Nuuchiu (Ute), Jicarilla Apache, Pueblos of New Mexico, Hopi Sinom (Hopi), and Diné (Navajo) Nations. We acknowledge the deep histories, enduring cultures, and ongoing presence of these Indigenous peoples, whose stewardship of the land predates colonization and continues today.

    Howdy, Wayfarer
